It doesn’t matter if the 2013 situation changed. Price was what also mattered then and mattered in 2014 when the Xbox One matched the PS4’s price but was still weaker.
And even today, not everyone cares about power. Look at the Nintendo Switch that has outsold Xbox One already.
Oh, but Xbox One dropped price to match $399 by April of 2014. So in a that time PS4 sold 110 million and Xbox One 41 million because for 5 months PS4 was cheaper? Xbox has been cheaper for more than 3 years now
i got xbox one in 2014 thats 6 years of Gold Subscription @ $60 a year
$360 spent in live what a fucking joke buy PC only the price of console adds up + they subscription trap you to use the device
stupid as hell robbery
I’ve said it before—2013-2014 were really rough years for the Xbox One and the Wii U due to tone-deaf decisions and bad PR, but boy did both consoles have many solid games during that period. PS4 just clinged on to multiplats (& good price/marketing). Even Sony admitted it.
I never said I buy them for that price. I said they CAN be bought for that price AFTER 8 years on the shelf when he is wanting to wait 1 year for XBOX ONE games to drop to $20. A lot of Xbox One Games from 2013 and 2014 are still roughly $40 or more.
Well, compared to the Xbox one, which had a $399. price tag in June of 2014. I would say with inflation and everything; $499 isn't that bad. The Price will gradually drop over time of course. This is standard introductory pricing tactics in the gaming industry.
Space Engineers was announced for Xbox one back in 2013, or 2014. I can express my excitement to finally get to play this game. The ultimate edition is such a good price too. I rarely preorder but for this game I did it as soon as possible. https://twitter.com/Xbox/status/1234614461446705159…
Are you sure about that? The PS4 outsold the Xbox One at launch because it offered more power for a lower price. Must-play first-party titles didn't really start to hit the PS4 until 2015 (2014's Infamous SS being the exception). https://twitter.com/hakeemnpc/status/1214464544870932480…
2014 Launch Price PS4: $399
2014 Launch PriceXbox One: $499
Also, Xbox one x has specs proven to be more powerful than the PS4 Pro, but the pro is cheaper so it's gonna sell more. Like I said casual fan base only cares about a price tag
They’re coming out with these consoles too damn fast the Xbox one came out in 2013 and the new Xbox comes out in 2020. Not to mention most people bought it in 2014-2016 due to the price so they just need to chill tf out. PlayStation too
